Talia Bates

Talia is a therapy intern and graduate student dedicated to helping others build healthier relationships with food and their bodies, manage anxiety and depression, cope with stress, and improve their overall mental health. She works collaboratively with clients to target unhelpful behaviors, habits, and beliefs using cognitive behavioral techniques, while also drawing on her training as an Eating Disorder Informed Professional through the Eating Disorder Recovery Center.

Inspired by her own journey toward mental well-being and driven by a passion for advocacy, Talia takes a person-centered approach that empowers clients to reach their goals at their own pace. She believes in creating a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and encouraged.

Talia is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is on track to graduate in Spring 2026. She is being supervised by Emily Engman, LISW-S.
