Position: Insurance and Front Desk Assistant

Position Overview:
We are seeking a mature, reliable, and personable Insurance and Front Desk Assistant to join our administrative team. The ideal candidate will be patient, professional, and exceptionally organized with the ability to multitask and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist Billing Coordinator with delegated administrative and billing-related tasks

Perform insurance verifications and follow up on rejections/denials

Submit and process record requests

Greet and check in/out clients at the front desk

Answer and direct incoming calls; transfer calls appropriately

Manage new client intake, audits, and scheduling
-
Collect client payments and maintain financial records

Handle administrative duties including faxing, scanning, printing, shredding, and filing

Maintain tidiness and supplies in the lobby
-
Follow opening and closing procedures daily
Qualifications:
-
Prior experience in a medical, behavioral health, or insurance-based office strongly preferred

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Highly dependable and self-directed with strong time management

Tech-savvy and comfortable with EMR systems, email, and office equipment

Committed to confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information

Must be able to prioritize tasks and remain calm under pressure
