Frankie Abruzzino, MSW, LSW , is a dedicated and compassionate therapist with a strong foundation in social justice and community-based practice. Frankie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The University of Akron and a Master of Social Work from Slippery Rock University.
With over 10 years of experience in child welfare and an additional 10 years in the domestic violence field, Frankie brings extensive knowledge of trauma, resilience, and systems of care. Frankie has supported children, families, and survivors through complex challenges while centering safety, empowerment, and long-term stability.
Frankie is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and incorporates evidence-based strategies to help clients build practical skills, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and strengthen emotional regulation. Frankie has experience facilitating therapeutic groups and most recently is serving as a school-based therapist at Rittman Schools.
Frankie strives to create an affirming, inclusive therapeutic where everyone is respected and celebrated. Frankie believes in meeting clients where they are and partnering with them to build meaningful, lasting change.
